Dr Fang Zhong
Zhong Fang is Research Director at the Institute for Ecological Design, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, and Co-Lead of the Social Innovation and Sustainable Design Lab (DESIS Lab). She specializes in sustainable design and social innovation design, with research encompassing waste systems, food systems, design for aging populations, and community design.
In recent years, she has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers in both Chinese and English. She contributed to China's first Chinese-language monograph on sustainable design, Sustainable Design, and translated the seminal work on social innovation design, Design, When Everybody Designs (original by Ezio Manzini), marking its first Chinese edition.
Professionally, she has participated in numerous major research projects, including:
